The Purchasing department is responsible for the procurement of commodities, equipment, and

services at the lowest and best costs consistent with the item's current economic conditions. The Purchasing department's mission is to safeguard the standard of quality, continuity of service, and the County's reputation for fairness and integrity.  These are the purchasing guidelines:

$0-$5,000 Quotes not required
$5,001-$25,000 At least two Competitive Quotes Required
$25,001 & above Bid process including public advertising

 

For those items over $25,000, the contract requirements will be advertised in the local newspaper.  To receive a copy of the bid specifications, contact the Purchasing Department.
