The District Attorney's office handles criminal cases in DeSoto, Tate, Panola, Tallahatchie and Yalobusha counties.  These five counties represent the 17th Circuit Court District.  The District Attorney prosecutes criminals who commit felony crimes, gives legal advise to law enforcement agencies, handles bad check cases and provides assistance to victims of crime.
